INTERNAL WALL INSULATION (IWI)
in Edinburgh
is used to insulate solid wall (or cavity) properties by fitting insulation to the inside walls of a building. This creates a barrier between the inside and the outside, dramatically reducing heat loss. The walls will be left plastered and ready for decorating.
SWIP
provides a system-based approach to internal wall insulation. The system has been tested and certified to demonstrate that it delivers the best performance. SWIP’s IWI System consists of mineral wool as an insulating layer, thermally engineered battens, and a damp membrane. It is approved by the British Board of Agrément (BBA) and can be used with all Government funded schemes.

An accredited Retrofit Assessor will visit the property to conduct a free survey, explain the insulation process, and recommend the most suitable energy-efficient solutions based on the building’s condition and occupancy. A brief assessment and a few simple questions are all it takes to determine the right approach.
